Graphics House Printing Creates Customer Order Management System

April 29th, 2008

In April of 2008, Graphics House Printing began development of a Customer Order Management System that would allow customers to quickly and efficiently re-order items without having to speak with a sales representative, subsequently saving time and money.

The system requires that the customer log in, and access their account. Once in, they can then view every flier, poster, brochure or postcard they have purchased in the past. The user will also see a description of each product and the corresponding quantity. And finally, by clicking on each image, they will be able to view a .pdf file of the image that Graphics House currently has on file, to see if the image is current, or if revisions are needed.

In the eight months since this system became operational, the response has been phenomenal. One company has placed over 40 orders totaling more than $25,000 and rarely finds the need to call their customer service representative. Graphics House Printing hopes to offer this function to more of its clients in the next year.

In the coming months, new features and functionality will be added, as well as a more streamline approach to adding new clients to the system for administrators.

Similar solutions are currently under development in the apparel and large format divisions of Graphics House and are scheduled to go online in the next fiscal year.

Current Graphics House clients who would like this service are requested to call their sales representative and ask to be added to the Customer Order Management System.

Wilson Printing / Familyman Ministries Board Game

October 30, 2006

Not long ago, Wilson Printing out of Danville Indiana came to Graphics House with a rather unique request. It seemed a customer of theirs, Familyman Ministries, was looking to produce a board game for Christmas celebrating faith, and needed some assistance getting its vision realized.

Never ones to shy away from a new challenge, Graphics House eagerly accepted the job. They quickly discovered that designing the layout of the game was only the first hurdle. Family Ministries also needed game boxes, and a folding game boards for final product assembly.

Graphics House researched the correct paper stocks, printing methods and design requirments to accomplish all facets of the project. And, through one of it's many partners Graphics House also found a company that could apply the printed labels to the finished product.

The result has been a great success for Familyman Ministries. The game, "To Bethlehem - A Christmas Game For The Entire Family", is in it's 3rd printing, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI)

December 13th, 2008

In November of 2007, digital print provider,Graphics House, set its sights on a new market not yet penetrated through traditional marketing and advertising methods. That market was the Advertising Specialty Institute, or ASI. ASI is a national leader in uniting print brokers, advertising agencies, and print shops, with vendors of various print and promotional products.

Now, ASI members in search of large format, digital or offset printing and apparel, were introduced to GH Imaging, a vendor with an excellent product line, low prices, and outstanding customer service. The program was initiated by listing products on ASI Software for the exclusive use of ASI members. This software, called ESP, allowed potential clients to search and compare the price and other features of Graphics House goods, with those of non-member vendors. Further benefits were were realized when Graphics House listed those same goods and services on ASI's internet site, allowing end users to see Graphics House products, then they in turn, would contacted their local ASI distibutor for local purchasing.

ASI is the largest media and marketing organization serving the promotional print industry. And ASI distributors and vendors account for a large portion of estimated $16.9 billion in print and promotional products sold nationwide. By becoming an ASI member, Graphics House is now able to reach out to more than 20,000 resell firms and 130,000 independant distributors.

In the face of very challenging economic times in the United States, this is yet another example of how Graphics House is continually searching for new and inventive ways to reach potential clients and promote its vast product line.

In January of 2009, Graphics House will be attending the ASI Show in Orlando, Florida to further promote its products and services. The Orlando Show is the largets of its kind on the East Coast, and represents over $2.7 billion in industry sales. Graphics House will be using this show to unveil it's newest product, Event-Trac concrete signage.

Event-Trac is a type of vinyl specifically made to adhere to any clean, dry, concrete and asphalt surfaces. Unlike other asphalt decals, Event-Trac does not require any type of over-laminate. No laminate means a more vibrant and colorful image, and a much lower cost to the end user. The surface of Event-Trac offers a non-skid texture and is certified by the National Floor Safety Institute. It can be printed to most any size, and cut to any shape. More information about this product is available at www.Event-Trac.com.

Though only active for one year in ASI, Graphics House has developed a strong client base of ASI-related companies. Through continued marketing and advertising, the programs promises fantastic growth and will be a key component to the future success of the company.
